COPIOUS OR NOT TO COPIOUS
I have been selling vintage clothing for approximately 10 years. 8 years on eBay and 2 years on Etsy.com and now I am moving some of my inventory to www.copious.com.
This is a very clean website, streamlined, and easy to sell--even your own closet items.
So, take a moment to see my listings there and why not just snap a few pics of your items that have lost your fascination lately and post them up !!

Bohemian Suits Me
WAYFARERVINTAGE.etsy.com
I have veared away from boheme only to get frustrated (i.e. not satisfied). Following the trends is definitely NOT me. So, back to bohemian for me. My newest model is the epitome of bohemian though she doesn't even know it. She is such a free spirit it's refreshing.
I dressed her up recently and listed those photos on My Etsy. Some outfits she loved, others she tolerated. So now that I know what her inside soul is saying, I will dress her up in the best bohemian clothes I have.
Tomorrow, Thursday.
In the meantime, look at the recent photos at http://www.wayfarervintage.etsy.com/
Fear of Success
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
our presence automatically liberates others.

June 28th 2011 - Obsession of the day/week - PixieMarket.com
Pixie Market, without all the blogs and other hype, is a wonderful site to peruse. Just click on WHAT'S NEW and follow the arrows to NEXT. You will not be disappointed.
Unique, hip, trendy, and upscale. Love this website.
So I personally voted it the object of my obsession for this week June 27th, 2011.
Last month it was LF Stores.
Am I missing something??
Or have I covered all if it?
So easy. So simple. So inexpensive.

Love Bohemian Boho Hippie Festival this Summer 2011
I am a child of the 70s and 80s and went to my share of "festivals" except we called them "concerts" then. My claim to fame was The Who in 1976 when they did their Who'sNext Tour. Yup. I was about 20 seats away from Roger in all his fringe and glory, Pete Townshend, songwriter and lead guitarist and John Entwistle and Keith Moon. My claim to fame.
The best "festivals" back then were at the Boston Common. Outside with jugglers and some really stoned dudes walking around in 1978. Seriously drug time. I saw the Beach Boys at least five times. Loved them each and every time. They got only better with age. Amazing songwriters and gifted musicians.
Possibly my favorite concert/festival was at this venue, the Boston Common, and it was Loggins & Messina doing their Full Sail album. Oh my. The most amazing experience ever. Wish I could have bottled that feeling and opened it now. I still have my Full Sail album but no place to play it.
I even remember what I wore to that concert. That is how much I loved it. I wore white painter's pants overalls with a green danskin top. I wore the overalls half done up--one side loose--because I had to pee so much I just didn't bother fastening the straps. Moccasins with beads, bandana tied up at the strap on the painter's pants meant for the hammer. Blue sky, lots of people, amazing music from Loggins & Messina. Blue Sky....brings me to probably my 2nd best concert/festival ever.....The Allman Bros. Oh man. What a night.
Actually, what a day I spend trying to get tix to that show. I stood in line for 6 hours peeps; yup, 6 hours. The crowd was huge at the Boston Garden Box Office. When I got to the box and purchased 4 tix for me and my sister and friends, it was too crowded to walk back out so I got passed over bodily by the crowd. And the concert hadn't even started!! This was the day before.
It was more than worth it. Dicky Betts, Greg Allman. Sunshine, blue sky, your my sunny day. Sweet Mellissa also. Wow. Now that's music. Not the Pop 100 we have on the radio now. What is that??
So this trip brought me to Connecticut. Connecticut?? Huge adjustment. No..culture shock is the better choice of words. Still haven't recovered after 20 years. I left my heart in Boston.
I sell vintage clothing because it gives me happiness to relive the great childhood I had growing up in Beantown. Born and raised right in Boston. 7 minute drive to downtown clubs and bars. What a life. Concerts/plays/great bands at bars/close to Cambridge.
My style now is soccer Mom (sorry). I dress in jeans and cotton shirts. But I still have my white painter pants overalls. Cannot part with them even though I have considered it.

Music and Fashion
Grew up in a Big Town --- Boston, MA
Music and fashion went together like a hand and glove. Inseparable.
Child of the 70s and 80s but loved the 70s because of the free style fashion life style. The fashion of the times were way better than the 80s. We pretty much just dragged over the 70s into the 80s with a few tweaks. Much like the indie NastyGal style of today. High waist shorts, crop tops, lace up ankle boots, cross body bags. I believe that Boston indie fashionistas were way ahead of their time. Hmmmmm.....let's go back. Baggy cotton pants, crop tops, bucket hats, some big wide bell bottoms still around but mostly bootcut or high waist baggy pants. Haven't seen a revival of the baggy pants yet. Maybe I'll start one. I have some awesome, incredible, all-cotton baggy pants; so comfortable to thrown on after a day at the beach with a bikini top and moccasins.
Yes. I'll do that.
In the meantime, I'll share some music and fashion from then and now.
And another amazing performer/writer...David Byrne from Talking Heads
